Hey, there!

My name is Jerry and I started this blog to continue on with the work of another journalist who years ago started a blog site dedicated to reporters, editors and other media professionals who wanted to warn others about less-than-ideal and/or above average news media outlets. 

The gentleman entitled his Website after an old Elvis Costello song, "My Aim Is True," hence MAIT. 

Personally for much of the last 25 years I;ve worked as a reporter, editor and public affairs (public relations) media professional. During that time I worked for some fine news outlets, but also some news outlets that wuld be better off euthanized.

I've seen some outrageous things done by editorial managements, as well as some unbelievably gutsy stands taken by others.

Join me and list your pet peeves, indignant wrath and/or pride over a job well done. Youngsters graduating from journalism school often develop bad, indeed fatal, habits based on what they see in the newsroom. Give 'em a hand.
